This summer, I will be sticking around town but am excited that my daughter has decided to visit for an entire month while on break from college up in Washington. She will be staying with me and I am so looking forward to her company!! I would also love to get a few hiking trips on the books and am thinking maybe Kachina Trails in Flagstaff or Fossil Creek in Strawberry. Other than that, I have become newly inspired to do some home renovations so I've got a cabinet re-finishing project underway and plan to do a bit of interior painting, redecorating, and updating.

This summer is all about the outdoors. My family camps every weekend available. I am also gathering the entire family together, including my kids who are currently attending college, for a fun week in Park City, Utah so we can white water raft, mountain bike, ride horses, and rock climb.

This is the summer that I will be spending time sketching, researching, tearing out, constructing, and testing my patience remodeling a few areas in my home. Seeing that I have always been a hands on construction person, it will be both relaxing and also stressful but I am always up for the challenge. I also will be teaching my three year old grandson how to swim. It is my hope that everyone enjoys their summer activities and remains healthy and safe.

My favorite meal for summer is anything that I don't have to turn on the oven and heat up the kitchen. I enjoy making different types of salads. My favorite salad for summer is a nice refreshing pasta salad.
