LORA G. JOHNSON – Attorney at Law

View More: G. Johnson was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She earned a scholarship to Arizona State University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and graduated from the Barrett Honors College, the first member of her family to earn a university degree. Her research was published in The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Arizona State University.

Mrs. Johnson practiced with a large local estate planning firm for eight years, six years as an attorney. She focuses in the areas of estate planning, small business planning, Elder Law and Medicaid/Long term care planning. In order to better serve her clients and fulfill a lifelong dream, Mrs. Johnson opened her own practice in 2006.  She has been practicing Elder Law since 2000.  

Mrs. Johnson has seen firsthand the value of planning. She is devoted to detail and organization and strongly enjoys working with people who are preparing for the future and keeping their heirs, families, or causes in mind. She sees estate planning as an essential step in safeguarding one's own future, as well as the future of one's family.

Mrs. Johnson believes that quality customer service is vital. She also believes that hard work is important to success. She enjoys doing community service with various local women's groups, and serves on the Regional Leadership Counsel for the Alzheimer’s Association, facilitates a caregiver support group and serves on the Board of Directors for NAELA. She has a very diverse background as a talented artist, seamstress, and pianist, and loves to travel with her family. She has visited Sweden, the land of her ancestors, several times.

Mrs. Johnson and her husband Steven, also an Arizona native and high school English teacher, have five children and one granddaughter.


YVETTE L. ASHWORTH – Attorney at Law

View More: Ashworth is a native Texan, graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in Accounting.  After graduating magna cum laude from Georgia State University School of Law, Yvette settled down with her husband near the beach in Florida.  Four kids later and thousands of hours devoted to her children, the Boy Scouts of Amercia, Parent Teacher Association, booster clubs, and her church, Yvette moved to Arizona to start practicing law full-time at Johnson & Associates.

Yvette's primary practice areas are Guardianships and Conservatorships, Estate Planning, and Estate and Trust Administration.  During college, Yvette lived with and assisted her grandmother, Fayme, so that she could live independently for a few more years.  Shortly after moving out, Fayme, who was diagnosed with dementia, moved in with Yvette's mother who cared for her until her passing.  Having seen the realitites of aging and the sacrifices that her mother made in order to care for her aging parents, Yvette finds it satisfying to help people plan for the future and rewarding to work with those individuals that sacrifice and care for their family members. 



View More: Blaszak had the pleasure of being professionally acquainted with Lora Johnson prior to joining the Johnson & Associates team, as the two worked closely together at another valley law firm for a number of years.   In her former position, Keeley worked for seven years as an estate planning paralegal and supervisory paralegal responsible for heading up the advanced estate planning department with a special emphasis on business/corporate matters.  Keeley has been a member of the Johnson & Associates family since February of 2015 when she was hired on as Yvette Ashworth's paralegal, and is primarily involved with our guardianship/conservatorship, trust administration, trust litigation, and probate case matters.  

When she is not at work, Keeley spends much of her personal time enjoying the outdoors.  As an Arizona transplant who was born and raised in Washington State, Keeley will tell you she cannot get enough of the sunshine and warmth here, and she wakes up every day thankful for the bright, blue skies.  Hiking is a favorite pastime and she will often head to Piestewa Peak for a trek around the circumference.  Keeley loves to travel, to challenge herself to try new things, and to experience the most out of every situation that she possibly can.  If she had to sum up her outlook on life, Keeley would say that gratitude is of utmost importance and she truly believes each day is a gift.    


MARCIE MALOY – Paralegal

View More: Maloy is a native of Utah, but moved to Arizona 18 years ago. Before joining the team at Johnson & Associates, she worked at an estate planning company for several years. She brings experience in preparing legal documents, such as wills and trusts. She is currently studying Business Management through Brigham Young University-Idaho. Marcie comes from a large family and understands that taking care of family is very important. She currently is a caregiver for family members. She knows that caregiving can be a stressful yet rewarding experience and lends that same care and expertise in her work. She works closely with Lora Johnson doing ALTCS-Medicaid/Long term care planning.

Marcie enjoys the outdoors. She loves to go camping, hiking, and riding quads. She enjoys nature and traveling. Most weekends you can find her taking long road trips to visit National Parks. She is happily married and has two dogs named Maggie and Bailey. She is a licensed massage therapist and teaches swimming lessons in her spare time. One of her dreams is to own and restore a 1965 Mustang.


REBECCA WIRTH – Legal Assistant/Marketing Coordinator  

View More: Wirth is a native Phoenician. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho.  She believes in empowering others to be the best they can be and advocates for strong, healthy families.

Rebecca has been with Johnson & Associates since January 2013.  She enjoys getting to know the clients and making connections through their stories.  They are a source of inspiration and a great example to her. 

Rebecca loves reading, photography, and DIY projects of all types.  She is an avid traveler and enjoys coordinating foreign exchange students from all over the world.  She tutors children with Dyslexia and believes every child is one caring adult away from being a success story.  

Rebecca’s husband David, also a native Phoenician, teaches high school and college Physics, and is an excellent DIY assistant.  They have 6 amazing children.

Donna Schubert holds a paralegal degree and diploma from Edmonds Community College and completed her Paralegal Board Certification in 1998. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The University of Washington and is currently a member of the Arizona Paralegal Association. Before moving to Arizona, she worked fifteen plus years in Seattle Washington as a corporate paralegal dealing with legal issues in contracts, employment, construction, permits/liens, OSHA and environmental regulations, and other business legal matters.
Donna joined Johnson and Associates in June of 2015, and enjoys the firm’s family atmosphere. She works with both attorneys and is involved in probates, trust administrations, living trusts/funding’s, and property recordings.
Donna is always increasing her knowledge and is currently learning sign language so she can communicate with her special needs grandson. She also enjoys teaching quilting/sewing classes and spending as much time possible with her family and standard poodle.


DEBBIE ACKERKNECHT  – Receptionist/Legal Assistant

View More: Ackerknecht moved to Arizona from Pennsylvania in 2007.  She earned her registered nursing degree from the University of the Hospital of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.  She spent many years as an Intensive Care nurse, case manager and most recently providing prior authorizations for transplant patients.

Debbie joined the office of Johnson and Associates in September 2016.  She enjoys integrating her nursing experience and skills into her role as legal assistant.  She is very happy to be working with such a caring and wonderful team

Debbie and her husband have two grown daughters and one grandson.  They also enjoy spending time with their four dogs, three of which are rescues.  When there is spare time, Debbie enjoys cross-stitching, reading and doing the occasional craft.
